Such a relaxing and charming space to share with family and friends!

Great place, great location. The shares family areas were so nice to have, as well as the private rooms with bathrooms when you needed your own space. They provide so much so it makes traveling there a breeze. Great time and hope to visit again.

A Great spot for a family reunion!

12 of us 4 kids and 8 adults had a spectacular week, the pool was in constant use with the kids while the adults enjoyed the upper lanai with BBQ and a well outfitted kitchen to provide many memorable family meals just after sundown. All in all it was a perfect spot to explore the big island and come home to a spacious and welcoming Hawaiian home. Mike and Laura were very responsive and accommodating to our many quires, as we arranged the reservation more than a year before our arrival.

Stunning! Spacious! Clean! Easy to Rent! Close to everything! Every amenity plus more! Speechless!

From the moment we arrived we knew we had arrived to Paradise. Not only because we were on the Big Island but because the house was perfect in every way. The house is so well kept, the house manager is so helpful and responsive, everything you can think of possibly needed was already in the house. We forgot to buy a few things at Costco on our way in and to our surprise the house was already stocked with anything we possibly needed. The vibe in the community is amazing! You can feel the love around you. Our family won't be staying anywhere else when we head back to Kona. The day we arrived back home to LA we immediately had people asking us how to book the house because of all the beautiful photos we had posted. Kona's sunset is gorgeous but not as gorgeous as watching it from the comfort of your vacation rental. One morning I woke up and looked out our window and there was a cruise ship in the distant water. The sites and sounds from the home are unbelievable. I wouldn't honestly recommend staying anywhere else. It was so convenient to get up, make up breakfast, pack lunch for the day and head out to our excursions for the day. And then coming back home to make dinner, have a few cocktails and not worry about driving or ubering anywhere. In fact we had a few friends that were staying on the island over for dinner and they all said they wished they would have rented the home before us. One morning I woke up and went for a light jog along the coast just one block from the house. I ran along the coast for about three miles and then returned back to the house and enjoyed a nice breakfast in the outdoor family room overlooking the ocean and community around me. We stayed at the house with four other couples and it was great how everyone had their own shower, their own entrance, their own mini fridge, and coffee pot. The most famous snorkeling spot in Kona is just half a mile away from the house. And Magic Sands beach which has the best sunset view is also only a block away. Downtown Kona is about a 5 minute drive away as well. The Luau we went to which was also amazing was only a five minute drive. Green Sand Beach one of only four of its kind in the world is an hour drive from the house with stunning views of the coast the whole way. I can't say enough of how amazing this house is. And how easy the process of renting it is. The owners are amazing! And the house management team are exceptional as well! You'd be a fool to stay anywhere else!!!Response

Great house for a large crowd.

We had 11 people in our group and the house fit us nicely. The house is a nice distance from snorkeling and the town of Kona. We bought food at the markets and made most meals at the house together. There isn't a great place to sit the whole group, so we just pulled some chairs into the living room and all sat around and are together using the couches and chairs. Overall, we all had a great experience and would come back again in a heartbeat.

Blue Lagoon Stay

Our stay at Mike and Laura's Blue Lagoon Home was epic! The well designed home is wonderfully decorated with tasteful art and comfortable furniture. The individual coffee makers, refrigerators and microwaves in each room are such a nice touch! Our group utilized them extensively. The main kitchen is extremely well outfitted with cooking utensils which is extremely important to us. Mahalo for that!! The kitchen proximity to the upstairs lanai and BBQ is such a plus!! Excellent morning coffee area and evening sunset watching!! The pool is wonderful.. so nice to relax by it in the morning or evening after a day of fun at the beach. The neighborhood setting is relaxing, even though it is only a block from the popular and outstanding White Sands Beach! The morning bike rides to snorkel at Kahalu'u Beach were fantastic! A great way to start the day! Even though we did not have small children with us, I was impressed with the amenities that were provided for families with little ones! There are child gates to block the stairs, high chairs, etc readily available. Nice touch! So much snorkel gear, boogie boards, bicycles and beach equipment available!! Nice! The overall Aloha and charm that this home exudes is fantastic. Paradise! It is obvious with all of the amenities, cleanliness and charm that Mike and Laura take great pride of ownership in their vacation rental. Thanks for sharing your home and aloha with us! Tony and Merci

First Hawaiian stay

Had a wonderful Hawaiian stay. This great tropical vacation home is spacious and clean. It was so nice to have a kitchen supplied with all you need to cook; pots pans, utensils, and basic seasonings were all stocked in the kitchen. We just stopped at the local market for food, snacks, and drinks and we were all set for a fun filled week! The home is located in a great area that made it fast and easy to get to the local beaches for our snorkel trips. (all snorkel gear & beach towels are available at the home). We seen so many beautiful fish and turtles no matter where we chose to snorkel. Highly recommend trying out snorkeling to anyone who visits Kona! We used the refreshing waterfall pool almost each evening before dinner and watched several amazing Kona sunsets from the cozy upstairs Lanai. Our week stay in Kona was an amazing experience. From our time we spent relaxing at the house, beach, or poolside. To our adventures of exploring the beautiful waterfalls in and around Hilo, walking through the lava tubes at the Kilauea Volcano, shopping and tasting local foods and fruits and we will never forget our deep sea fishing adventure with Kenny from Makana Lani Charters. We look forward to our next stay and making many more new memories here! A huge Thanks to Mike and Laura for being wonderful homeowners of this vacation rental and being quick and helpful in answering any of our questions before and during our stay! We highly recommend this vacation home to anyone looking for a beautiful home to rent during their Big Island stay!

Perfect for our week-long 3 generation family stay..

The pool is the highlight. Not only is it beautiful, there is a large shallow area and lots of sitting options in the form of underwater ledges. The tile and fish mosaics on the bottom as well as the waterfall (which runs on an automatic timer) add some fun. The deep end is just big enough to allow for refreshing dives in the pool. The largest dining table is poolside and our group of 9 ate dinner here most nights. Even the pool lighting was great. The house is spacious. All 9 of us stayed in the main house (we did not use the studio). The 3 bedrooms on the lower level all have their own private entrances to the house. The living room was comfortable, and the breakfast bar in the kitchen was perfect for casual meals. The bar is a bit high, even for adults, but the kids never complained. Our favorite inside hang-out was the upstairs lanai with it's overhead fan, fresh breezes and views. Turned out to be a perfect spot to watch the fireworks shot off from the marina on the 4th of July. The laundry room with it's attached screen porch with plenty of space to hang clothes, swimming suits and towels out to dry was also in use constantly. The beach is a few blocks away. Easy for adults, even if carrying snorkel gear or a boogie board (lots of such beach gear is stored at the house for use!). When we were there in summer, there was plenty of sand on the beach. There was even an often busy volleyball net. The waves were plentiful all week, making for great boogie boarding or body surfing. The waves were a bit too much for some of the kids in our group, though, and the snorkeling wasn't great. A mile south is a great snorkeling beach that we all enjoyed. That beach was pretty crowded and full of tourists, but who are we to complain about that. We saw turtles at both beaches. The only downside for us was the overall layout of the house. There is one general entrance to the house in the front, but the driveway is in the back and the pool is on the side. One bedroom has a door to the driveway. Two bedrooms have doors poolside. We ended up constantly walking through these bedrooms for easy access to the driveway or pool. (The door to the studio is in the rear.) We had a few gecko visitors inside, but it's the tropics. We weren't concerned. Note that there are lots of open stairs (studio excepted). The new owners and managers are wonderful. It was easy to get a hold of them, and they were attentive to anything we asked.
